Katie Huang, B.A.
Research Assistant
Katie Huang received her B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley where she was a research assistant at the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab, the Berkeley Early Learning Lab, and the Berkeley Psychophysiology Lab. She is currently a research assistant in the Richards Lab who works on both the REST and NAPS studies. Katie is interested in studying risk and resilience factors in the development of anxiety disorders and depression, as well as the integration of cultural competence into mental health care. She enjoys volunteering as a crisis counselor with the Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, and plans to continue working in the mental health field.
Aubrey Beck, B.A.
Research Assistant
Aubrey Beck received her B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley. After graduating, she provided behavioral therapy to children with autism. She also served as a research assistant in the Emotion and Emotion Regulation Laboratory as well as the Ideographic Dynamics Laboratory at her alma mater. Aubrey is interested in the intersection of sleep and mental health. She is also fascinated by people’s narratives of their own lives and how these narratives relate to people’s schemas and wellbeing. Aubrey plans to pursue a graduate degree in the mental health field. Outside work she enjoys spending time with friends in the great outdoors, listening to podcasts, and finding secondhand treasures for her home and wardrobe.
