Richards Lab EEG Post-Doc

EEG Post-Doc (For hire immediately):

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States. When you apply, please confirm in your application email that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

To apply, please email Dr. Richards with a CV and cover letter at: [email protected], with "Richards EEG Fellowship" in the subject.

The Richards Lab is currently looking for a post-doc with experience in electrophysiological data processing, especially signal processing of multi-channel electroencephalogram, electrocorticographic, and/or local field potential data (in any model species) for ongoing clinical electrophysiology projects (EEG-based) in humans.  This project provides outstanding opportunities in clinical psychiatry/psychology. The post-doc would take the lead on cleaning and analyzing sleep and wake human EEG data derived from Dr. Richards' ongoing and completed recordings.  The post-doc would also take a leading role in set- up of human subject experiments related to sleep and information processing using high-density EEG. The post-doc will have the opportunity to learn and apply state-of-the-art neural signal processing and machine learning techniques to clinical neuroimaging data, and will work in a very multidisciplinary team from engineering to clinical psychiatry.

Candidates with experience in the use of MATLAB and/or Python for neural signal processing are preferred, but ability to learn these skills, adapt existing code bases, etc., are most valued given the interdisciplinary nature of the project.  Experience collecting and analyzing other physiological data, including ECG and EMG, are a plus but not a requirement. In general, interest in the neuroscience of emotion and memory, interest in psychology and psychiatric disorders, interest in learning and picking up new technical skills, and collegiality are most important to ensure a good fit with our team and work. Supervision would be provided by Dr. Richards and her team.
